#SOTD ~ "Go Your Own Way" Fleetwood Mac

"Go Your Own Way" ~ Fleetwood Mac

Go your own way appeared on the "Rumours" album which was written when the band was going the problems with the divorce of Christine McVie and John McVie and they were not speaking to each other, the only communication they made with each other was to do with the music. Along with this Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham had an on/off relationship with led them to fights a lot of the time. This Rumours album really was the only thing that kept the band together and in turn made it into one of their best albums in my opinion. They took all the hatred and tension and put it into the music and made it a success.

"Go Your Own Way" is the top track of the album in my opinion and has been covered by many artists such as NOFX, The Cranberries, Biffy Clyro and most recently by Lea Michelle in an episode of Glee. They all pust a different twist on the classic but I think you can never go wrong with the mac!
