10 Halloween Movies For Kids

So it is that time of the year again where the leaves are falling off the treas, we pull out our woolly jumpers and wrap up for the dark evenings. Even more it is coming to the time of one of the most exciting times of the year, Halloween!!!!! So I am going to go through a few films that will keep the kiddies occupied this mid-term and get them in the mood for the most spooky day of the year!

10. The Addams Family (1991)
Kicking off this count down is the creepy and kooky Addams family. Who does not love a family that loves all the weird and creepy things in life. This is a film that will keep all the family entertained for a while and will hep you get in the mood for Halloween.

9. The Little Vampire (2000)

Who does not like a good vampire movie? Well this is a child friendly vampire movie. I remember going to the cinema to watch this and any time it comes on the tv I find myself watching it. This will really make the kids want to go trick or treating as a vampire.

8. The Haunted Mansion (2000)
What is Halloween without a movie about ghosts? And even better about a ghost in love? This has something for everyone love, spooks, mystery and a child friendly scare plot!

7. Alvin & the Chipmunks meet the Wolfman (2000)

Poor poor Theador, he does not have much luck does he. He is the youngest and no one really takes him seriously but that will change, along with who he is! This is such a good film and all the kids are sure to love it!

6. Alvin & the Chipmunks meet Frankenstein (1999)
Another Alvin & tha Chipmunks film for the kids to enjoy. It is long enough to keep them occupied for a while but not too long that the younger kids will lose interest.

5. The Witches (1990)
This is one of the best movies I watched as a child. Usually films of books are not very good but this one is an exception. Both parents and children alike are bound to love it.

4. Halloweentown (1998)

I love love love this film! This one of the best Disney Original Movies for Halloween ever! Its so fun to think that there could be a dimension where it is Halloween everyday with all kinds of spooky things. It is definitely a movie that will keep the kids happy.

3. Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
This is one of those films that you can watch twice a year at Christmas and Halloween. It is one of those films that will keep everyone happy.

2. Casper (1995)

Casper is one of those movies where no matter what age you are you will like. Every age can take something different from this film. It is also very entertaining!

1. Hocus Pocus (1993)

This is like the best halloween movie ever! Since the first time I watched this movie back in (probably) 1994 I have watched it at lease 3 times a year! I am proud to say I can say every line of this film. It is so so so so so so good! I can not urge you (who have not see it) to watch it and get your children to watch it. It is far too good for words!
